Bring drawing materials to the first class.  We will discuss acrylic and oil painting materials and techniques.  Students will learn to create form and depth through first making an underpainting, and then adding color glazes.  Be ready to amaze yourself.  Materials list is available in the office.

This class is designed for those in or about to enter kindergarten. Emphasis will be on using creativity and imagination while experiencing a variety of art materials including: crayons, various clays, paper, markers, various paints and tie dye.
A $20 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

This class will take your young artists on an amazing art adventure.  Students will learn about a few artists, discuss, read and draw different sea-life, create sand pictures and much more.  Throughout the class students will in a variety of media such as sand, watercolor & tempra paints, oil pastels, crayons, markers, model magic and more.  A $20 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

This class is designed for those who truly love detailed drawing and anime. Learn the art of fine point details for anime characters and explore shading, color blending and other details of a finished character. All Levels welcome.  A $10 materials fee is payable to the instructor during the first class. Please bring a sketchbook, drawing pencils, and black fine point markers.  No Class 11/27/08

We'll travel through time, each project relating to specific period in the history of art, starting with primitive cave painting and working our way back through modern times.  This class is a fun way to learn about art history, applying various techniques and styles while exercising individual creativity.  A $25 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

Beginners will learn wire designing, simple stone setting, sawing, tooling forging, simple soldering and polishing. Students will develop simple techniques resulting in beautiful wearable creations, there will also be new working designs and techniques for those who have previously taken the class.  A $25 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

This course explores the dynamic art forms of cartooning and comic art. Students gain a working knowledge of techniques and concepts used by professional cartoonists and comic illustrators but with an emphasis on fun and learning. The sessions will cover the various styles of cartoon and comic art. Students will be encouraged to create their own characters as well as develop sequential art from plots they draft.

This class will study different countries through their traditional clay techniques.  Students will be learning the fundamentals of handbuilding.   It will be a great way to build an artistic foundation of ceramics while studying other countries.

This class will be all about tile making!  Students will be shown mosaics throughout the ages as well as current floor and wall designs.  We will discuss pattern making and then we will start creating our tiles.  Students will be able to explore surface texture including sculpting low relief tiles as well as smooth detailed glaze design.  Tiles will be adhered to wall board and ready to hang!  A $40 material fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

Discover a new way of recycling: making art! In this class students will use readily available materials, such as cardboard and newspaper, to create unique artworks. Students will combine collage with paint, paper mache, and sculptural elements, including both 2D & 3D approaches. Thinking outside the (cardboard) box and personal expression are encouraged. A $30 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
